Last week I went to see The Damned for the first time. What a great show.

Supporting them was Henry Cluney from Stiff Little Fingers and The Alarm. It was good that the show was in the larger room downstairs at the old Zodiac in Oxford – now the O2 Academy.

There were a lot of “old” punks there, and it was fun to see the different groups of people there for each act – some obviously fans of all three.

The Damned was my favorite band of the night. Frontman/singer David Vanian certainly caught my attention, as I’ve been told of his Vampire-like ways – and I’m a fan of his voice!
